In one sentence: your files never leave your device. We never see them, we never receive them, and we could not look at them even if we wanted to.
Your files
Every tool on PDF Safehouse runs as code inside your browser tab. When you choose a file, your browser reads it, processes it and builds the result on your own device. The file is never sent to us or to anyone else. We do not have a server that receives uploads, because these tools do not need one.
You can check this yourself: open a tool page once, then turn off your internet connection. The tools keep working.
What is stored on your device
If you install PDF Safehouse as an app, your browser keeps a copy of the site's code so it opens quickly and works offline. It never includes your files. The site may also remember your language choice in your browser.
Accounts
There is no sign-up, so we hold no account, email address or password for you. If you email us, we only use your message and email address to reply.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It uses no cookies, does not follow you across other sites and never sees your files.
Advertising and cookies
The site does not show ads or use tracking cookies at the moment. If we add advertising, this page will be updated first to explain it.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other websites, including affiliate links and a donation page. Those sites have their own privacy policies. When you click an affiliate link, the other site may record that you came from us so we can earn a commission.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
